800 years of history, woven into one luxury estate.

When you step onto Sandon Manor, you aren’t just booking a venue; you are becoming part of a story that spans centuries. The family has called this estate home since 1540, preserving a site of immense architectural and historical significance.

To close our history series, we are looking back to the very beginning. Standing proud behind the farm on the ancient mount since 1222, the Post Windmill is a true testament to the centuries of life, heritage, and stories that have shaped Sandon Manor.

From the iconic Post Windmill (1222) and the medieval Black Barn (1266), one of the three oldest timber barns in England, to the 17th-century Manor House (1660) and our design-forward Grain Barn (1980s), every corner of the estate tells a story.

We’ve beautifully transformed these historic spaces into a private sanctuary for weddings, retreats, and unforgettable stays. ✨️

What started as a vision to create a unique, exclusive sanctuary for celebrations has grown into 120 incredible journeys. From intimate ceremonies in the historic house to high-energy takeovers of the Clubroom and quiet moments in the spa, every single celebration has added its own spark to Sandon Manor.
