Cosy is what we do best.

Autumn and winter may just be the best time for a stay at Bethnal&Bec.

Whether it is watching movies in your own 'Bedroom Cinema' in front of a roaring fire, soaking in a hot steamy bubbly outdoor bath or a crisp morning dog walk in the 2 acre paddock.

We all crave and deserve a bit of this when the nights are longer and the temperatures a bit chillier.

There are a handful of weekend stays still available for 2026 and some good value midweek nights for that quick escape.

Close to wonderful Cambridge and easy access to London. They have amazing massive outdoor deep soaking Japanese whirlpool tub (no nasty chemicals), Indoor and outdoor fires, vinyl record player and the coolest eclectic record collection. Running any business is tough. Running a hospitality business is very tough. Running a hospitality business on your own is really bloody very tough.

You get the jist?

Luckily my children are always on hand to help out if needed, and it makes a world of difference and makes Bethnal&Bec a true family business. The 3 spa cabins are built from the old dilapidated stables in our home. The children, now 14, 18 & 21 have grown up in the 11 years since the idea was first hatched.

For example Felix, has just returned from a summer in the USA working as a camp counsellor, still horrendously jet-lagged and with amazing A-Levels including 2 A*'s in Biology and Chemistry.... yet he thinks nothing of helping me for 5 hours do all the turnovers. Headphones on, singing his little heart out.... and what a voice. Seriously, he has gigged previously, and is available for weddings, Christmas work parties, pubs etc.

What's my point I hear you scream out🤣
... I'm not sure there is one, but just wanted to shout out my team, who are my kids, who are my family. They are bloody ace, and help make Bethnal&Bec an amazing place for so many guests.

Couples drive for hours looking for that special place; that romantic bolthole, the quirky cabin, the luxurious retreat.

Often it's closer than you think.

40 minutes from London
30 minutes from Cambridge
1.5 hours from Birmingham
2 hours from Brighton or Nottingham
2.5 hours from Sheffield

Cornwall, The Lakes, The Highlands are all glorious destinations, but it's also nice to spend less time in the car or train and more time in the most beautiful bath you'll ever see.... especially if you only have a night or two or just a weekend to decompress and relax.

Was cleaning my kitchen drawers and got distracted. So hatched a markering plan with my 14 year old daughter. "Sell the benefits of Bethnal&Bec but only while juggling silly objects."

Now just going to wait for the avalanche of bookings 🤣.

Seriously though, life is often tough, so why not be silly with your kids when you can.

We understand that sometimes you can only get away for 1 night.

So for September (& August Bank Holiday Monday) all our remaining midweek nights are available to be booked for 1 night.

So book the babysitter, get the day off work, change your shift.

If you've only got one night - make it special.
