We have now been instructed to only allow the use of gas whilst on site. All guests with any charcoal bbqs will be required to ensure that these remain packed away during your stay.
Both Freedom camping and our insurance company have mandated this restriction to us.
Due to the current hot, dry weather, our area is now classed as VERY HIGH RISK for fires. Following advice from the local fire service, we're temporarily asking guests not to use campfires on site.
Gas ONLY is still welcome – please just keep them raised off the ground, well away from tents, caravans and dry grass, and never leave them unattended.
We're really sorry, as we know a campfire is a big part of the camping experience, but keeping everyone, our wildlife and the site safe has to come first. ❤️
If you've pre-booked a fire pit, please get in touch and we'll happily arrange a refund.
We'll keep reviewing the situation and bring campfires back as soon as it's safe to do so. Thanks so much for your understanding!
