Ballyness Caravan Park

Many of our customers have been wondering about the absence of our beloved swans at Ballyness Caravan Park. It's with a heavy heart that we share the natural challenges they've faced. After losing our male swan last year, the resilient female managed to raise her cygnets, who have since ventured out on their own paths.

Though she has not returned to make Ballyness her permanent home and is likely seeking a new community, our park has a long history of hosting various swans; the pair we came to know was not our first. With their departure, a new chapter begins, opening the possibility for another pair to call our park home.

Although the loss of our swans has left a void, Ballyness continues to be a bustling hub of wildlife, offering a peaceful retreat amidst nature. We are optimistic about the future and look forward to welcoming new swans and continuing our role as a haven for diverse wildlife.

It didn't stop there; we've also been honoured as the Best Caravan Park for Motorhomes and Caravans.

Thank you to everyone who supported our coffee morning last Friday in aid of the Air Ambulance. We are delighted that thanks to your generosity, we raised £1346. I took the donations to the headquarters yesterday and saw first-hand how useful this will be. Also, It was lovely to see everyone together.

Yesterday The deputy First Minister said that Touring Caravans were not included in the decision to reopen caravan parks. However, this was incorrect. Caravan parks can open for touring without shared facilities. All our sites are fully serviced, so we are able to fulfil bookings from the 30th of April. Currently we are heavily booked and have no weekend availability until September. If you would like to check availability and book you can do so on our website. 🚨 CARAVAN OWNERS

I know there has been confusion regarding the position of touring caravans.

I have had it confirmed that touring caravans, which are self-contained, *ARE PERMITTED* within the 30th April decision.

The deputy First Minister was wrong in the Assembly yesterday.

Guidance on NI Direct later today will reflect this and that it must be households only.
