Back in the days….only 4 years ago
Can we ask you for a minute to read this and share so we reach travellers that are stuck for the next weeks, their friends and family at home worried about them.
We will be honest.
At difficult times we all hope that people will show themselves at their best. As owners of Finn McCools Hostel we think it starts with doing that yourself, don’t look what others do.
This year we had the plan to try get funding to own the land and house so we could refurbish, get all solar, recycle waste and waste waters, try to be as waste free and off grid as possible to keep this amazing area amazing. That was 2/3 months ago..........then everything went different as we all know.
No guests in the hostel and this will be the worst year ever, we will do our best to get past this but it will be extremely difficult, and to be honest we are not sure we will get past this as a business. It is and was cheaper to just close for now and have a small change to get past this.
But what about the people that are stranded? Travellers, volunteers that have no where to go. Do we want them homeless with no roof over their head? Our answer is no. Regardless of our problems, we have a hostel, no guests, so lots of beds.
Ignoring the fact that we are not sure we will still have the hostel next year, but be sure we will try 👍
We are open for travellers that are stuck, as promised. A free roof over your head for the next couple of weeks.
So we welcome Matt into Finn McCools family, Australian traveller who is stuck and to many places closed. And no where to go.
Stay with us till you can travel on and have your adventures, we are happy to offer you a roof over your head and a clean bed. Enjoy lots of walks and the company of our 2 Spanish volunteers that cannot go home.
If you are stuck? Let us know, we are really here to help as long as we can.
Take care of each other
