Sitting in landscaped gardens immediately above Mill Beck, the self-catering apartments are tastefully designed and furnished, offering an exceptional standard of accommodation for walking and family holidays. The apartments all enjoy the same stunning views of Haystacks and the Buttermere Round (Red Pike, High Stile and High Crag). They are south facing so

capture much of the day´s sunshine through the large windows in the living area - which either lead onto your private patio area or balcony. The apartments, recently refurbished, have well proportioned kitchens that are equipped with most modern day appliances. Each apartment has electric central heating, direct dial telephone, Televisions with Freesat and DVD player. There is ample space for storage of your belongings and for the parking of cars. Guests are kindly requested not to smoke in the apartments.

“What a truly magical hotel. Sometimes you arrive somewhere and immediately get that feeling that you’ve found somewhere rather special and this was definitely one of those places.

Our room is cosy, welcoming and beautifully comfortable with a wonderfully comfortable bed and the most spectacular mountain view from our window. It’s the perfect place to relax and simply enjoy our surroundings.

It’s very easy to recommend somewhere when you’ve had a good experience, but when you’re still there and already talking about coming back, you know you’ve found somewhere special.

We would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel, restaurant and bar to anyone. From the beautiful surroundings and cosy rooms to the outstanding food and genuinely wonderful service, everything has come together perfectly.

Happy 🐶 🐾

We love our doggy visitors here at The Bridge, and they seem to love being here! 💕
Dogs are welcome in all our standard hotel rooms, a couple of our self catering apartments, and also in our Walkers Bar where they can enjoy a tasty treat.

With walks galore on the doorstep and beautiful Buttermere for a refreshing paddle, we’re perfectly positioned for a dog friendly break.

Dawn came to stay last month with her three border terriers and left us this lovely review afterwards.

“We stayed at The Bridge Hotel in Buttermere from 5th–6th July with my husband, our son and our three Border Terriers, and we had a fantastic experience.
