Well… the rain finally found us! 🌧️

After a long dry summer in the Peak District, the recent rain has been a very welcome sight, although those skies certainly know how to make an entrance.

Our photo was taken recently between Hartington and Biggin, with the landscape still showing all those golden signs of the long, dry spell. What a contrast!

Anyone else been secretly quite happy to hear the rain on the windows again? ☔️

🥾 Up early, walking boots on and out exploring before everyone else.

☕ Absolutely not. Breakfast first, another cup of tea… then we’ll think about walking.

These views were captured between Ecton and Wetton, along the beautiful Manifold Trail, just a short drive from Biggin Hall.

The golden hills may be a little unusual for July, but the scenery is every bit as breathtaking.
