IMPORTANT – FIRE BAN AT SNOWDON BASE CAMP

Following the UK Government Severe Alert, which the majority of you should have all received, we have now put in place a fire ban at Snowdon Base Camp

ALL OPEN FIRES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Including Firepits, Charcoal BBQ's and disposable BBQ's

You can use a gas BBQ/Stove for cooking, it must be turned off after cooking is completed

Please check on your nearest fire point, there are many throughout our camping fields and they are each equipped with 2 fire extinguishers

We know sitting around a fire is part of the camping experience for many people, but right now we do need to be aware of the risk of wildfires

In these exceptionally dry conditions, one spark or ember is all it can take for a fire to spread incredibly quickly.

Unfortunately we have received an Important Advance Warning from SP Energy Networks that the energy supply will be switched off for critical work to secure network and customer supplies on Tuesday 28th July, 2026

Due to the timings we have decided to close our kitchen on Tuesday, 28th July, 2026

Supply at our campsite and accommodations are not affected by this notice
