n) is a Grade II listed Tudor mansion house having undergone substantial restoration to a high standard since our purchase of the property in 2017. The new mega flow heating system ensures that all bathrooms have hot water on demand and good water pressure (one of our bug bears when staying elsewhere!) even when all showers are in use at the same time. The property has a sprinkler system installed in all rooms in case of fire. All bedrooms are good sized bedrooms with king sized beds (one has twin beds which can also be locked together to make a super king sized bed) and have an en-suite bathroom with a rainwater shower, underfloor heating, electric shaver/toothbrush point, heated towel rail and de-mist mirror. Two of the bedrooms currently open to guests also have a bath and our premium room has a 4 poster bed! All bedrooms have a hairdryer, a large wall mounted TV, free guest wifi and tea/coffee making facilities. Toiletries are provided in wall mounted dispensers. Please note that this is a no smoking property. We have sadly decided that we will not be pet friendly inside as we know too many people with allergies (and some who are scared of dogs!) but we do have a small courtyard at the back with a couple of tables where dogs are welcome! Set on the outskirts of Caerphilly, the property is situated on the edge of Gwern y Domen ancient meadowland offering beautiful walks and is also located only a 15 minute walk from Caerphilly train station with frequent trains to Cardiff (15 minutes), and also with easy access to the A470 and the M4. The Taff Trail is easily accessible and there is a mountain biking park only 5 minutes away. The property provides the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the many delights of South Wales. The property has a licenced bar in the communal lounge where guest can enjoy a drink sitting by the log burner - a selection of board games and lots of books are also available for guests to enjoy. CCTV is in operation in the carpark and in both the dining room and salon/reception for security. There is an electric car charging point on the car park for guests use subject to an additional charge. Only guests booked in to stay at the property are permitted to access bedrooms.
