A slightly different post from us today!
If you’ve visited the area before and walked along Invertrossachs road you may have glimpsed The Ripple Retreat on the shores of Loch Venachar. The Ripple Retreat is run by an amazing charity to offer holidays to families with children undergoing treatment for cancer or families of recently bereaved young cancer patients.
Now we’ve walked past The Ripple Retreat many times ourselves but this week we were very lucky to be invited by Lynne to visit The Ripple Retreat.
Lynne is the Co founder of the charity behind the Ripple Retreat and a fundraiser extraordinaire!
What a truly amazing place which the photos just can’t do justice. The level of thought, design and detail that has gone into the building, grounds and facilities is just outstanding. This is all to ensure families have the most relaxing and memorable stay during the most challenging of times.
It really is a beautiful, calming and peaceful space both inside and out with the most stunning of views. It’s also incredibly moving with poignant messages in the visitor book and poems on the walls from former guests.
If you are staying with us this year we now have a donation tin and some more information about The Ripple Retreat here in the hall. If you are able to make a donation, however small, it would be very gratefully received. There is also an QR code on the tin which you can scan to donate direct. Obviously we’ve made a start ourselves on filling that tin!
