Thank you to all our lovely guests for staying with us over the jazz festival weekend
It was eventful- we were up at 6 in the morning during the power cut to work out how we could put on a breakfast!! Thanks heavens we have a gas hob - so hot water for tea/coffee and pans for poached or fried eggs worked! G was out in the garden in the rain cooking bacon on the bbq!! Thankfully the power came back on and the festival continued- and it was brilliant- many congratulations to the organisers for their hard work - greatly appreciated by everyone I have spoken to- and the bands and the volunteers- very well done all!

My grandson - Calvin Halladay- had left his grey school bag down by “the tree”- where they play when coming out of school
He’s just realised he doesn’t have it (although did give me 4 lunch boxes - which is why I didn’t notice !! )
Went back down to “the tree” but it’s not there
Has any Good Samaritan pick it up??
