A Hempsall Farm Love Story 💚

Back in October 2024 we were hosting the lovely Julie from France as a volunteer. At the same time the lovely Ross, someone Pippa knew through the local Cambridge vegan community, and through activism with We The Free, had also arranged to come and stay for a week as a volunteer.

In an admin fumble on Pippa’s part, it meant that our two bedroom volunteer accommodation, which is usually home to either a couple, or two friends, would be hosting two strangers which we don’t usually do. Pippa checked with both that it would be ok with them, and as Ross is such a lovely guy and known to us already, we were confident they’d get along.

Well they did. They really did. 💓

We hope you’ll join us in wishing them huge congratulations as they begin their new life as Mr & Mrs 🥂

The wonderful BFAS - Brook Farm Animal Sanctuary 💚 just over an hour away from us - and where our gorgeous boy Wilson came from originally.
Please do support them if you can.

Our open day is this Sunday!
No need to book Payment is on entry. Children free if accompanied by an adult. Dogs welcome on lead but not in with the sheep.
We accept cash, PayPal and card payments on stalls etc.
Parking is on site in a large field. Please do not park on neighbours drives or front lawns.
Veggie bbq,
Raffle, cakes, stalls, charity shop and a bouncy castle (weather dependant)

We’re so excited to welcome back so many returning guests this year. But we’d also love to meet some new faces!

Our 2026 calendar is now open for bookings from April to September. And right now you can get a 3 night stay in April for the price of 2 nights!

Safari tents sleep up to 6 people. They have their own internal shower room with huge power shower with hydrojets and flushing toilet, a kitchen with gas hob and fridge, a log burner to keep those evenings cosy, your own pool table and table tennis table, a wood fired hot tub and a giant fire pit with cooking grills.

We are the only vegan glamping site in the UK, and every penny of your stay funds the animal sanctuary. You get to meet the residents, or simply watch them from your deck!

Fancy a trip to the pub? You still don’t have to leave site! There’s a double decker bus which was converted into a pub for you to visit, without the need for a taxi home!

So whether it’s just you and your dog, the whole family, or a group of friends…book your stay! We can’t wait to meet you.

^Subject to availability. Arrivals are on Mondays or Fridays. 3 for 2 excludes Easter Bank Holiday weekend (but does include the school Easter holidays)
