•••••••NOW BOOKED••••••••

**I have had a cancellation for 7 nights from Saturday 1st August**

The booking will be for 7 nights only, which I know won’t appeal to everyone and I just want to explain why when I usually have no minimum stay.

I keep my prices incredibly low at £50 per night. I don’t increase them in peak season, but I do heavily rely on these weeks/months for a guaranteed income. If I take a booking for 2/3 nights I then may not fill the other 4 leaving me without income. I think I’m incredibly fair with pricing all year round but I do have to eat and pay bills like everyone else (5 dogs takes some eye watering feed commitment too!)
So if you would like to take a very rare opportunity to grab a week here (I booked up for summer months and months ago), message me. £350 for 7 nights

🌊 Situated in North Cornwall on the edge of Bodmin Moor and 15 minutes from the coast.
🛌 One double bedroom plus a sofa bed (travel cot available).
🐕 Multi dog friendly. And by friendly, I mean no restrictions on numbers, breed or places they are allowed.
🪴 Private, secure (tested, trust me!!) south facing large garden. Minimum 5 foot fencing.
🚘 Off road private parking space.
🏖️ 15 minutes drive to multiple all year round dog friendly beaches.
🚶‍♀️ Single level accomodation suitable for those with limited mobility.

I had the pleasure of April along with Daisy and Remy this weekend.
Finn made two new friends and they had lots of admirers when we went to Trebarwith for a beach walk.

I know many of you have nervous dogs or those with selective hearing and fast feet like one of mine (ahem, Roxy).
If you want to let your dogs off for a run without the stress of losing them, there is a 3 acre secure dog field very near by with a little pool, agility equipment and and enrichment patch. It’s very secure.
£10 for one hour, up to 8 dogs. Simply look up Moorgate dog training field to book online. You’ll find location details on their website.
Ralph prefers gymnastics floor routines followed by some ear ventilation to equipment.

People often worry about the security of the garden. I have a professional jail breaker amongst my tribe and she’s never got out. The garden is enclosed with either brick wall, a shipping container or double slatted horizontal fencing with a minimum 5 foot height.
It’s completely separate from my garden too.
The garden is there for dogs to enjoy. If that means the lawn is rearranged sometimes, so be it. It’s only grass.

Here on the north coast of Cornwall we are blessed with the most amazing sunsets.
I often head out last thing to get a photo and walk my dogs at sunset.
Book between November and March 2027 and I’ll give you a night free. The sunsets are spectacular even in winter.
£50 a night every night of the year.

Good afternoon everyone. Cornwall is simply stunning in the sunshine! It’s inevitable that people want to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery as a family and that family might include a dog or two.

Now everyone knows I’m all for dogs. I’m very proficient in dog first aid and have an incredibly comprehensive dog first aid kit in my house, including emergency medication for allergies, wounds and pain relief.

Every year, dogs die from heatstroke caused by excessive exercise in warm weather or prolonged exposure to the sun. Heatstroke, also known as hyperthermia, is a life-threatening condition, and quick action can save lives.

Brachycephalic (short-muzzled) breeds, elderly dogs, overweight dogs, and double-coated breeds are at higher risk.

Prevention is always better than treatment. Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening, provide plenty of shade and fresh cool water, and avoid unnecessary sun exposure.

If you suspect a dog is suffering from heatstroke, act immediately. Signs include excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, purple gums, lethargy, and collapse.

Move the dog out of the heat and into shade. If they are conscious, offer cool water. Pour cool water over them if possible, but if using a hosepipe, run the standing water first as it may be extremely hot. Seek veterinary treatment immediately and ask someone to call ahead to the clinic.

Do not cover the dog with wet towels, as this can trap heat and prevent cooling. If the dog has collapsed, the British Veterinary Association recommends immersion in very cool, but not ice-cold, water, ensuring the head remains safely above water.

There is a common myth that giving dogs ice is dangerous. Healthy dogs can safely enjoy ice cubes or crushed ice in moderation to help cool down. However, ice should not be given to a collapsed dog, as it may contribute to shock.

Remember: cool them down, get them wet, and get them to a vet as quickly as possible.

Enjoy beautiful Cornwall safely

Wow! What a scorcher of a bank holiday weekend! Temperatures hit around 31 degrees here in parts yesterday.
Please remember to walk your dogs early morning or late at night. Or not at all!
Provide shade and plenty fresh water and above all, don’t take them out on hot pavements!
Here at the cottage there is a paddling pool for dogs and shaded areas for them to lie.
You will notice an area of long grass at the bottom of the garden. This is not because I gave up at that point (although I considered it at 7am mowing the lawn). This is wildlife territory and keeps the ground cooler for insects, hedgehogs and pollinators.
I take wildlife and conservation seriously here so you may also notice little bowls of water. It’s fine if your dog drinks from them but please top them up as they are for wildlife.
Enjoy the sun safely!

Whilst it’s a bit wild here in winter, it’s still a fabulous place to be.
It can be a very quiet time for me in the cottage and so, I have an offer for you. Book a stay and I’ll throw in a night for free! Even if you book one night, you’ll get one night free.
Offer applies to bookings from 1st November 2026 to February 28th 2027.

I try to be as sustainable as possible in the cottage. If you’ve visited or been here from the early days you’ll know I use Purdy & Figg. The question I probably get asked most is “Is it any good and is it worth getting?”
Well I’m not paid by them. Zero incentives to promote them but I only use their products in the cottage and my home now with the exception of a tiny amount of bleach when cleaning toilets. They smell incredible!
So if you want to try it, you’ll get all of the amount in the photo for £30 as their introduction starter kit you save a massive £78. It will last you months and months. Small glitch in their system means there’s no limit to how many times you can order that.
Each little bottle in the photo makes a full size bottle of product and includes bathroom cleaner and counter clean.

Google Purdy & Figg complete starter kit if you want to try it. I personally love it.
