Beautiful brothers, Tim and Bertie stayed for the weekend helping Mum and Dad enjoy their wedding anniversary!
They were such handsome and well behaved boys, who had the obligatory visit from Ralph to check all was in order! Some very interesting sticks were located and the local beaches explored!

I need to make an apology.

Those that have stayed recently will have noticed a camper van in my field.
The two occupants and their two dogs I had allowed to stay for summer in return for help with jobs I can’t do alone, or I’m not physically capable of anymore.

Whilst initially there were no issues, this has sadly culminated in some very regrettable incidents in the last few weeks, including but not limited to, allowing their own dogs near to the reactive dogs of guests despite repeatedly being asked not to.
Following guests children around the field and encouraging them to play frisbee and badminton with him.
Accessing the garden of the cottage when people were staying.

They have now left but not without issue. Some property was graffitied with very unpleasant wording. They have removed my garden fencing allowing the dogs to escape and encouraged people to attend my address to collect items that don’t belong to them.

I want to say how sorry I am if their presence has made anyone feel uncomfortable or unsafe. I genuinely believed I was doing a good thing by letting them stay for free in return for help.

Sadly, it has led to a cancellation of a future booking and I’m unsure how many may not rebook because of them.

My intentions were good. The consequences were bad.

If you have any concerns at all please reach out to me. The business means so much to me and guests and their pets feeling safe is my priority. My personal assistant will be accompanying me for the foreseeable future if for no other reason than her screeching would drive most invaders away 🫣

Dates are filling fast for next year already!! All of June is now fully booked, plus the last two weeks of May.
If you’re thinking about booking, I’ve split the payments to make it a little easier financially for you.
£25 interim deposit now to save the date.
£75 in the new year and the balance two weeks before!
Whilst my prices have gone up to £60 per night, I do still think it’s really good value and I don’t increase my prices in school holidays, so that hopefully it’s affordable for everyone that loves to holiday here with (or without) their dogs!
I’m now on Google which means that maps recognises me and makes it easier for you to find me!

Hopefully, soon, I will have a website too. Whilst booking will still be through me, it will allow you to view available dates before deciding.

This week Max and family enjoyed their first visit at the cottage.
What a sweet boy he was too, although probably a little disturbed to wake up and find my face in front of him.
Cottage now reset for this weeks guests and luckily someone had the foresight to put a husky sized step in front of the doors so I can be closely supervised behind her closed eyes 🙄

I have a 3 night stay 12th-15th October.
The weather can still be pretty mild and the beaches are empty 😉.
Usually £50 per night but I will do 3 nights for the price of 2!

For those that don’t follow, Quinn cottage is a one double bedroom cottage with a double sofa bed in the lounge.
Ultra dog friendly with no limit on the number of dogs you can bring and allowed in all areas.
Secure, south facing, private garden.
15 minutes to Tintagel, Boscastle and Trebarwith.

Scrummy, beautiful Sid stayed this week. He is the goodest of boys and an excellent cuddler. He enjoyed his first big boy swim in the sea at 10 months old. 🏆. He also enjoyed making new friends with my 5 at the secure dog field followed by a 6 hour snooze 🤣
It’s his second time staying with his mum Sue Buckle, with the added bonus that I happen to think the world of Sue, Mark and Sid. 🥰
I may hold them hostage next time they stay.

I suggest The Port William to anyone that asks where to go for food or drinks.
I suggest The Port William even if no one asks!

I’m not affiliated, paid, nor do I know anyone who works there! I just think it’s the most amazing place. Dog friendly. Like, really dog friendly. The food is divine. The view could soothe the soul of the most angst ridden person.
If sea, sunsets, people watching, good food or even better, all of the above are your thing, I highly recommend.

I’ve had a week become available from 26th September- 3rd October. It’s a beautiful time to visit Cornwall.
The days are still warm and the nights cool.
The cottage sleeps up to 4. One double bed, a sofa bed and inflatable mattress if needed. There’s also a travel cot.

A private secure garden is perfect for dogs. No limit on the number you can bring and they are allowed in all areas.

Views of Roughtor and 15 minutes from the beautiful Boscastle and Tintagel.

The area has lots of year round dog friendly beaches.
