There are comfortable traditional indoor facilities and a private garden with benches and

tables where you can enjoy the quality meals, snacks and drinks prepared by Kaye and her staff. Springslade Lodge is ideally placed for all sorts of exciting and different outdoor family party activities. Springslade Lodge is ideally placed for walkers and ramblers enjoying the Cannock Chase heathland, horse riders using the many bridleways, mountain bike riders, road cyclists and the camping and caravan enthusiasts who can make use of the hideaway camping site behind the Lodge. It is also ideally placed for visitors to the Commonwealth War Graves and the Katyn Memorial (approx 400m from the Tea Room).

A Wonderful Afternoon at the Lodge 📖 ☕️

We had a fascinating talk at the Lodge on Monday afternoon with Andrew Baker, who shared insights into the research behind his book and the history of our local area, including Shugborough.

It was a lovely afternoon of local history, interesting stories and conversation, enjoyed with tea and delicious scones. ☕️🍰

Andrew’s books are also available to buy here at the Lodge, so do pop in if you’d like to discover more about the area.

Our next talk will be with Linda Barrett on Monday 19th October at 2pm, when she will be talking about Brindley Village and the years following the Great War.

There’s been a real buzz at Springslade Lodge this summer! 🐝🌿

Simon Gniadkowski bee hives have been happily settling in, with the bees making the most of the surrounding flowers and, hopefully, the heather on our doorstep.

Simon is keeping his fingers crossed that all their hard work will result in some delicious, golden heather honey later in the season. 🍯

We’ll be watching the hives closely and hoping for a sweet harvest from our little summer visitors! 🐝💛
