We are delighted to share the success of our recent Friends and Family Ball, held at the esteemed Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. This special event was organized to express our heartfelt appreciation to all those who generously contribute their time, effort, and dedication to our Freemasonry community, enabling us to pursue the principles and activities we hold dear.

The evening proved to be both memorable and impactful, as we came together in celebration and camaraderie. Through the collective generosity of attendees and supporters, we were able to raise in excess of £1,000 for our selected charitable causes, surpassing the fundraising achievements of previous years. This accomplishment reflects the unwavering commitment of our members and friends to making a meaningful difference in the wider community.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Canterbury Cathedral Lodge for graciously hosting us for this event in such a distinguished setting, providing an ideal backdrop for an evening of fellowship.

Our thanks also go to No Limit Street Band for their exceptional entertainment, which greatly contributed to the lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the night.

Additionally, we are profoundly grateful to Vevents UK for their generous sponsorship, supplying the audio equipment and sound services.

Events such as these reinforce the strength and spirit of our community, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of fellowship, support, and charitable giving in the years to come.

The St Augustine Lodge 972 just celebrated its annual Christmas Lunch with its family, widows and friends all together!
Great food, paired with singing, drinks a Hamper Raffle along with the main raffle. We managed to raise over £500 for Charity!

The Consecration of our lodge dated back to the 27th October 1863.

Notice here that our lodge building was actually based at what was called the “Freemasons Tavern” on St Margaret’s Street, Canterbury. More info on this will follow soon.

We were consecrated on the 3rd November 1863.

A few weeks ago the members of St Augustine held a Stewards Evening, an informal demonstration of the first degre ceremony performed by our newer members. A lovely way to get everyone involved completed by a Curry in the lodge dining room including a bottle raffle than raised £100 for the masters charities. We’re hoping to run another stewards evening in October.

St Augustine Lodge will be taking care of the DKW Cup on the 12th June and then walking it on its way to Province of Sussex on the 13th June.

With just 7 days to go...time to dust off the walking boots, pump up your tyres, hoist your sails, oil those roller boots...

Members of United Grand Lodge of England, The Order of Womens Freemasons, and The Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons will be helping to transport the DKW Cup across England and Wales over the next 3 months, visiting each UniScheme Lodge along the way.
