Love at first spritz. 🍊☀️

After a long, hot spell, we think we can all agree that the recent patter of rain has been very welcome..
.but we’re enjoying the sun again this weekend, so come find a sunny spot, order a spritz from the Falstaff bar, and make the most of those golden hours while they’re here.

Cheers everybody!

“Until they think warm days will never cease, For Summer has o’er-brimm’d their clammy cells.” John Keats

A bumper crop of events are underway this August!

Here’s what you missed in this month’s news letter…

🎶🎤 Canterbury Live is a brand-new festival weekend of concerts being held in the city’s iconic St Lawrence Ground, usually the home of Kent Cricket. Over three days, this historic space will be transformed into one of the South East’s largest outdoor concert venues — bringing top headline acts here for the first time. Big pop acts followed by a Ska Sunday. 3pm-10.30pm, Fri 7-Sun 9 Aug

🍴🌮 Herne Bay’s FEASTival (see what they did there) focusses on local seafood and producers. It’s a relaxed street food event, that brings together artisan stalls, live music, food and drink vendors, all in the stunning surrounds of Herne Bay’s iconic Clock Tower. 11am-7pm, Fri Aug 14-Sun Aug 16

🎷🎵 Jazz Nights at The Falstaff returns next Friday with The Kate Daniels Quartet - she brings her sultry voice to the sumptuous setting of our Pilgrims Bar. Maintain your temperature with a refreshing drink when the mercury rises. These free performances are always popular, so come early if you want a seat.

🎭🏎️ Green Room festival brings a renowned and diverse line-up of performers up-close and personal in a very local and intimate venue.  Enjoy music from The James Taylor Quartet, the uplifting London Community Gospel Choir, comedian Alistair McGowan, Bach to Baby for younger music lovers, a classic car meet and a spectacular West End concert finale. Based in the beautiful setting of a huge timber C14th Barn in nearby Lenham, these promise to be truly one-off performances in a unique and rural setting. Fri 28th - Sun 30 Aug
