The Canterbury Medieval Pageant & Family Trail returns on Saturday 5 July 2025 for its 10th anniversary, and the theme this year is the Canterbury Tales!

Chaucer and his famous pilgrim characters will be visiting for the day, leading the parade and even spending the afternoon at St Peter's Anglican Church. Join the merry group, make your own pilgrim shell and enjoy a day of creating your own Canterbury Tales.

Devised with an audience of 5-11yr olds in mind but may be enjoyed by anyone who would enjoy a less serious approach to a Shakespeare classic. This version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream has all the comedy and confusion of the original play but is considerably shorter, with more audience interaction and none of the boring speeches. However, within the informal theatrical style occasional snippets of original text slip in to allow the audience to experience the glorious rhythm and musicality of Shakespearean language.
