Easter availability.

The sun is shining, the sheep are looking very pregnant and spring is on the way! Lambs due very soon. We have the following available in the Easter holidays:

Clay Cottage (sleeps 6) is now available Friday 29th March to Tuesday 2nd April 4 nights £740.
EDIT Now Booked: Gilt Cottage (Sleeps 4) available Tuesday 9th April to Sunday 14th April 4 nights £578

I often forget to mention this park to our guests. It is about 10 miutes from Elmfield and is a lovely place for children and adults. A smooth tarmaced path takes you downhill to a lovely walk around the lake. If you want to walk further there are great footpaths and views.

And the little cafe is lovely (vegetarian)

Poor Bluebell has had a very sore foot caused by a nasty abcess in her hoof. She has had some nice painkillers from the vet, salty foot baths and hot poultice dressings applied twice a day. Finally she seems to be better and is standing really well on all 4 feet.

Being Bluebell she did try to drink her footbath and kick off her bandage!

Just finished bringing in 400 bales of hay from Down Along field. They are all neatly stacked in the barn and will feed sheep donkeys and Alpacas for the next year. Huge huge thank yous to Dave, Neil, Stewart, Ian, Heather and Claire. Massive job only possible with all this help. Oh and thank you Kate for getting much needed sausages!!

If you are visiting Elmfield why not visit the coast. Kent has some beautiful beaches whether you want to relax , build sandcastles rockpool or swim in the sea.

My friend Kate and I had our first swim of the year in Hythe today. The water was bracing 🥶 but sitting on the rocks in the 🌞 sunshine afterwards felt amazing.

Top tip Worth checking out the pop up deli for wonderful cheeses. Keep an eye out for winde and cheese tasting evenings.

Just down the road from us are the Lord Whiskey Tea Rooms. Yummy cake and Great breakfasts, all in aid of the animal sanctuary.

Now they are also doing take away cream teas. Why not pick up a cream tea on your way home from a day out and enjoy on the farm.

Not often you see a whale off the coast of Folkestone and Dover!
