Hospitality starts long before your guests walk through the door. ❤️

Tonight we’re welcoming a family from Australia who won’t be arriving until around 10pm after an incredibly long journey.

After travelling for nearly 24 hours, the last thing they’ll want to do is head back out to the supermarket.

So we’ve stocked the fridge with fresh milk, orange juice, yoghurts, Welsh butter, eggs and bacon, left fresh bread and fruit, filled a welcome basket with local Welsh treats, cereals, tea and coffee, and even added fresh flowers to brighten up their stay. 🌸🇦🇺

It’s not something we have to do. It’s something we want to do.

For us, running holiday accommodation has never been about handing over a key. It’s about imagining how our guests are feeling, thinking ahead, and creating the kind of welcome we’d hope for if we’d just stepped off a long-haul flight with our family.

Sometimes it’s the smallest touches that become the biggest memories.

We hope they settle in, get a great night’s sleep, and wake up tomorrow feeling right at home.

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of holiday accommodation advertised that just feels… flat. A few nice photos aren’t enough anymore. Guests want to arrive somewhere that feels cared for, welcoming and a little bit special.

At Fabulous Short Stays, we’re constantly investing in our properties because first impressions matter. Every guest deserves to walk into accommodation that is spotless, fresh and beautifully maintained.

Right now our focus is on our gardens and outdoor spaces, making sure they’re ready for long summer evenings and al fresco dining. 🌿☀️

At the same time, we’re carrying out refreshes across our properties, including:
