WILDLIFE ALERT Imagine my delight to see the return of our tawny owls. This year we've got two owlets (top right) who've started branching. I almost missed them when photographing mum (bottom left) but fortunately spotted them with the zoom. Their nest is in the hollow of an massive old Ash with an equally big oak right next to it.

Another beautiful early spring afternoon down at the Den. With a gap between guests, we've been able to get out and play with our new toy - a little DJI Neo drone. It's the perfect way to show the new decking area over the stream. Brace yourselves! There's likely to be a lot more FB activity for the next few weeks ☺️

2026 PRICE REDUCTION - now from £650 per week!
We wanted to make our restorative, calming and therapeutic Den by the stream more affordable to more people. You can now stay for a week at the Den for less than in 2020! There aren't too many prices coming down at the moment, but even our high season prices are now just £700 per week.
The Den, with its green space, trees and private stream, is a place of peaceful solitude and freedom. Beneficial for anyone needing a calming and stress free escape. Perfect for nervous or reactive dogs too. www.denbythestream.co.uk

850 years since the first Eisteddfod was held and this year it's being hosted just across the Ceredigion border in North Pembrokeshire just 15 minutes drive from Den by the Stream! A beautiful, sunny winter day in Cardigan today. So many gorgeous places to walk, but today we chose an old favourite. Up on the hill overlooking the sea/estuary on one side and Cardigan Golf Club on the other. Finished with a bacon bap and a draught cider at the Golf Club with this fabulous view.
