🦭⬅️➡️🚶🏼♀️Please mind the gap (between you and the seal!)
Mothers often rest between 10-30m away from their pup and the shore. Avoid coming between them.
On land 🏖- Do not go onto beaches where seals are obviously present. If you find yourself on a beach with a seal, stay at least 50m away, keep calm and quiet and leave as soon as possible.
From the sea 🛶- be aware from 100m and then keep at least 50m away from seals unless they approach you.
Keep viewing time to 10 minutes max and leave sooner if seals have noticed you.
REMEMBER: These are wild animals and this is their home. Do your bit to help them continue to thrive.
Thank you / Diolch
