A few days in Rioja & Navarra, Spain 🍷🇪🇸
We spent a fabulous couple of days with Marion from **eservice, exploring the vineyards and w**eries behind our Ugalde Reserva Rioja, tasting some exceptional w**es and finding inspiration for our new menus.
A huge thank you to Louis, who looked after us so well throughout the trip, taking us to and , the vineyards and w**eries where our Ugalde w**es are produced. He shared his knowledge and introduced us to some fantastic w**es and restaurants along the way.
We stayed in Logroño, famous for its 80 or so tapas bars. Louis took us around some of his favourites and we managed eight of them! One of our highlights was Bar Soriano, serving just one thing: grilled mushrooms stacked on bread with a prawn on top and the most delicious garlic sauce. So simple, but so good!
Beautiful scenery, fabulous food and, of course, plenty of Rioja!
We’ve come home with lots of inspiration and a few new favourites for our menus.
And if you haven’t tried our Ugalde Reserva Rioja at Penny Blue yet, we’d highly recommend it. A fantastic red! 🍷
