Howard Lodge is a friendly, family run guest house only a short walk from Carlisle city centre. Rooms are spacious and en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities, digital freeview TV/DVD's, towels/toilitries and controlable central heating. Breakfast includes a large selection of cerial, fresh fruit, yogharts, fruit juice and a full cooked English breakfast or a lighter option. We have our own

private car park. Walkers and cyclists always welcome and well behaved dogs are allowed. Free WiFi available.

Spring has well and truly sprung ☀️ the early Hadrians wall walkers of the season have been enjoying perfect walking weather 🥾 long may it last . Well Happy Birthday to us …. 20 years ago today we started our ‘new venture’ Howard Lodge Guest House 🏠 never really thought we’d still be going strong after 20 years but the people we meet, the friends we’ve made and the beautiful house we get to call our home make the hard work etc all worth while 💜 thank you to everyone who’s supported us , here’s to the next 20 years 🌟🤞🌟

🥾 So the 2024 Hadrians wall walking season has ended at Howard Lodge. As usual it’s been a busy summer, meeting and greeting our lovely guests, making all the breakfasts and packed lunches and (after a very wet year) a lot of drying boots, clothes etc. We’ve met some wonderful people from all over the world, received some lovely reviews and been very touched by thoughtful gifts. Our 2025 diary is open and the popular months are filling up fast, you can book via our website or by telephone 🥾🍂🌳🌦️
