Camping at Cardewlees opened in April 2019. We are a family run site with three generations living here. We are able to offer pitches for 10 tents and 5 caravans, each pitch is fully serviced with both water and electric. For those of you needing a little more comfort we have three camping pods available that feature electrical sockets, storage, a sink with hot and cold running water, a kettle, a

toaster and a microwave. The campsite over looks rolling farm land which is crowned by a view of local fells. Bookings can be made through our website www.campingatcardewlees.com or contact us directly. We are perfectly situated for visiting the Lake District with the North Lakes only being a 30 minute drive away. We are ideally situated for anyone wanting to complete the Cumbria Way, which is one of Britain's most popular long distance footpaths. The surrounding area also boasts a number of beautiful cycle paths. Local amenities include a swimming pool, garage, Co-Op, number of restaurant's, play areas, banks and local traders. We hope to offer our visitors a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy the scenery and some quality time with your loved ones. Campfire are encouraged! We have firewood and pits for sale and hire or you are welcome to bring your own. Please like our page and follow our journey!!

Cute wasn't quite the outcome we achieved. I don't know who he photographed but judging by these pictures, Fiona from Shrek has apparently popped in for a pint 👀😂

Anyway, while we're all ignoring my modelling career:

🍺 Moretti – £6 a pint🍎 Black Dark Fruits – £5 a pint🥂 Prosecco🍷 Wine🍸 Gin🍹 Vodka...and whatever else I fancy stocking because apparently I'm now a fully qualified bar owner 🤷‍♀️

One thing I absolutely refuse to compromise on though...

Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region only. Standards must be maintained 🍷😂

Enclosed camping for the dogs who need a bit more space 🐾🌿

Our Enclosed Dog Pitch in The Paddock is ideal for reactive dogs, nervous dogs, escape artists, or just those who enjoy life better when they can have a good sniff without the world getting involved.

Situated around 300 metres away from the main campsite, it gives you that proper back-to-basics camping feel, but with the added luxury of your dog being able to run free in a secure space.

It’s suitable for tents, motorhomes, caravans, tent boxes and anything in between, and you can add extra tents too, so your friends can come along.

The idea came from my much-loved lurcher, Blue. He was my boy, but he was highly neurotic and reactive. The freedom to exercise, be with me and have space around him helped his anxiousness massively. So when The Paddock is quieter during the week, we thought — why not offer it to people and pooches who need a bit of peace and serenity?

It’s £45 per night, with no extra charge for dogs.

Because sometimes the best holiday is the one where your dog can properly relax too 💚
