We've had a very busy few days preparing for our guests staying in Stangwrach Cottage and Ash Tree plus the changeovers Friday and Saturday.
We removed a double bed in Stangwrach Cottage and prepared the accessible bedroom for a very special lady returning for her second stay with us. She travelled with her own care team and brought her own adapted bed and specialist equipment, so we worked alongside the delivery teams to ensure everything was in place before her arrival, all whilst we carried out our usual comprehensive clean!

It was hot work, and both the delivery drivers and ourselves certainly appreciated a cold drink once everything was finished. One bonus of this beautiful weather is that all the laundry can be washed, dried and ironed in a single day!

Ash Tree Lodge also needed adapting for a larger well traveled group arriving from the Netherlands, amazing group of 4 carers along with 5 inspiring individuals traveling together with varying abilities in wheelchairs.

Two profiling beds, one with a single bed next to it was required in the same room, so we had a bit of furniture moving to do, but everything was ready in time for our guests' arrival, they had to do a a little rearranging themselves but they had very successful and busy adventure during their weeks stay.

Every guest has different needs, and we're always happy to go the extra mile to make sure they have a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Seeing happy guests enjoying an accessible holiday is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Today we're finally taking a quieter day to recharge and enjoy the stunning, peaceful weather.

Can you provide a profiling bed in Stangwrach Cottage in the ground floor bedroom instead of a double bed? Yes there are 2 bedrooms upstairs for the rest of the family.

Can we book two properties for family get together or a care home who needs additional rooms? Yes

Had such a fantastic day at the British Birds of Prey Centre in West Wales! We watched two flying shows, enjoyed lunch in the café, and then three generations of us took part in a half-day flying experience with Alex.

It was truly amazing to get so close to these incredible birds. We were all completely captivated—each bird had its own unique character, and we learned so much throughout the day.

We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend the experience to guests taking a short break over the next few weeks at 5* Stangwrach Cottage, 5* Ash Tree Cottage or 4*Gardener’s Cottage if you’re looking for something special!
It’s a definite visit if you’re keen on photography.

Beautiful sunny day in Carmarthenshire, imagine sitting on the balcony of Gardener’s Cottage a one bedroom self catering property, enjoying the view across the hills with a glass of wine or a latte. Listening to the birds and enjoying the warmth and fresh air.. bliss.

Ash Tree Cottage backs onto our small woodland copse and the wild meadow beyond. It’s a place I often find myself drawn to for a quiet moment, especially in spring when the bluebells spread like a soft carpet beneath the trees, dotted with primroses, wood anemones, and the occasional fritillary.
We only ever catch glimpses of the wildlife, but there’s always the sense that much more is going on — birds moving through the trees, the meadow shifting with the seasons. It’s a peaceful, unspoilt corner that I hope guests will enjoy as much as we do.
