Larkhill Tipis & Yurts Award winning glamping site in rural west Wales, 12 miles north of the historic town of Carmarthen. It is located on the edge of woodland on a 20 acres.

We have decided that the time has come to retire! We opened our doors almost 25 years ago and have loved greeting many many guests over the years and sharing Larkhill with you all.

We will be open until mid-September and closed after that.

Thank you to all of you regular folks who have just kept coming back, it's been wonderful.

Over the last 20+ years of Larkhill Tipis we have decided to buck the system and have not hiked our summer prices... in all honesty this may not have been the best business move, but we've been able to sleep easy! Knowing that families haven't had to take time off school to afford to stay with us feels like the right thing to do. We wish that this was the norm for the whole tourism industry!

This does tend to mean though that our holidays get booked up quickly...in-fact a large portion of the summer holidays are booked up by the same families each year which is wonderful. If you would like to secure dates for the Easter, Summer of half term holidays you can do so by booking online or if you would like to pay a deposit then please send us a message, email or whatsapp.

Last week's storm was a little heart breaking. After a drain became blocked the water from the hillside took a new path down towards the Lavvu. We will get it back up and running for Xmas time! We have items drying out all over our home and we are determined! As a separate consequence of the storm we also have no WIFi - so apologies if our communications are a little slow!

The Story of the Stepping Stones
When many guests first arrive here the stepping stones are one of the first things they notice. They are definitely one of the key elements that make us a bit quirky! As with most things at Larkhill... they were made by Tony! They were a labour of routine... every Monday morning for a year or so he made 10 of them! That adds up to 520 of them... but - has anyone ever counted them? We have a memory of a little boy counting them and getting to 420. We do have a few on the path in our garden and around the workshops so that might account for the disparity. Have you counted them?
