Two stone barns converted to luxury high standard holiday accommodation with a sunny conservatory link. Glorious views over the rolling Welsh countryside and the Black Mountain in the western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Set in a secluded rural location with a great ‘play barn’ offering a full sized pool table, table football, table tennis and a football goal area.

The Carreg Cennen Walk 👣

Positioned high above the river Cennen, nearly a thousand feet above sea level on the western edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Bannau Brycheiniog - Brecon Beacons - National Park sits the majestic Carreg Cennen Castle 🏰
There are few castles in Europe which can boast a more spectacular location than this 🌄

There are two signposted circular walks to truly take in this breathtaking location; a short walk of 2.7km (1.6m) and a longer route of 6km (3.7m). Both walks are quite steep in places but provide superb views of the castle and the surrounding landscape 🚩

Evidence has been found that indicates a settlement existed on this site in prehistoric times📜

🚂 The 2025 Season Starts This Saturday! 🚂
We’re back on track at Brecon Mountain Railway from Saturday 5th April, and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard!

🕰️ New for 2025 – Our timetable has had a little refresh! Trains now depart from Pant Station at 10:30, 12:30, and 14:30.

🛤️ Enjoy a 1hr 40min round trip, including a 25-minute stop at beautiful Pontsticill Station – perfect for soaking up the stunning views of the mountains and reservoirs, or relaxing with a cuppa at our lakeside café.

🔥 Throughout April, our heritage steam trains will be hauled by the magnificent Locomotive No.2.

🎟️ We’re running weekends, Tuesdays to Thursdays, and of course on bank holidays – ideal for a springtime day out!

☕ Before or after your journey, stop by our café at Pant Station for barista coffee, hot and cold food, snacks, and sweet treats. And don’t forget to browse our gift shop for train-themed goodies and souvenirs!

📸 Steam, scenery, and smiles – it’s all waiting for you this season at Brecon Mountain Railway.
