Hello everyone,

It’s becoming well known just how good we are at hosting family gatherings for parties, and thanks to your incredible support, our diary is now filling up with private bookings for many Friday and Saturday nights throughout the year.

Because of this success, we’ve sadly had to turn away a number of guests looking to dine with us in the traditional way.

So, moving forward, due to demand we’ve taken the decision to open Friday & Saturday evenings exclusively for large parties wishing to enjoy either full use of our dining room or our cosy snug for private dining experiences.

We completely understand this may disappoint some of you, and we truly appreciate your continued support 🤍

Join us every Sunday from 4.00pm for the same warm welcome and delicious food you know and love.

If you have a voucher, these can still be used on Sundays — or we’re very happy to offer a cash refund if preferred.

🏡A New Chapter for Morven House

After 6 wonderful years, the time has come for us to begin a new chapter and place Morven House on the market.

When we first took over Morven House, we saw something very special here. Over the years we have lovingly restored, renovated and transformed the property into the beautiful and welcoming place it is today.

We are incredibly proud to have created a thriving guest house alongside our restaurant, The Brae, complete with an alcohol licence, welcoming guests from near and far. What started as a vision has grown into a busy, successful hospitality business, and we are so grateful for the support from our wonderful guests, locals and friends who have been part of the journey.

Morven House is now ready for its next owner to take it forward, and we know whoever takes it on will be stepping into something very special.

We’ll of course keep everyone updated as the process moves forward, and in the meantime it’s business as usual welcoming guests old and new.

“We were at Angus Alchemy last night with friends for their first Live Music Thursday and it was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was brilliant, the staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the whole place had such a great buzz about it. It’s fantastic to see something like this in Carnoustie. Highly recommend a visit – we’ll definitely be back!”
