www.thelintmill.co.uk The Lint Mill is located at the end of a long drive off a quiet lane but easily accessible from the A72 and A74. It nestles at the edge of the North Medwyn River and has its own tranquil, private garden. The lovely views extend towards Tinto Hill and across the Pentland Hills. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both only a 45-minute drive and the characterful Borders towns of Peebles and Biggar are within a 30-minute drive. The World Heritage site of New Lanark and the Falls of Clyde are less than 20-minutes drive away.

Farm walks are a great way to share experience and build connections.

Sunday lunch, sorted.

Our rare breed mutton, roasted slowly on a bed of herbs and whole garlic, finished with flaky sea salt and black pepper. Simple, and full of flavour.

You don't need to buy a whole or half lamb. Just pick the one joint you want for Sunday, or a pack of chops for midweek. Every cut comes vacuum-packed, labelled, weighed and priced, ready for your freezer and collected from the farm.

Rare breed hogget and mutton from The Lint Mill

Our Soay and Castlemilk Moorit sheep grow slowly on organic wildflower meadows, and we never rush them. The result is rich, sweet, full-flavoured meat. Try a slow-roast shoulder with rosemary and garlic, or hogget chops straight from a hot griddle pan.

You can buy just what you need: a single joint or a pack of chops. Everything is vacuum-packed, labelled, weighed and priced, ready for your freezer, and you collect it from our farm.

Guests often ask us where to go while they're staying with us, so we’ve added a new page on our website with some of our favourite places. The Lint Mill sits in the upper Clyde valley, with the Pentland Hills to the north-east and the Borders to the south. That puts gardens, heritage sites and open hills all within an easy drive.
