🍄 IT’S MUSHROOM SEASON AT LOCHANHULLY! 🍄
There’s a little bit of woodland magic appearing at Lochanhully Resort…

Our beautiful Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) mushrooms have begun popping up among the moss, grasses and pine needles. With their striking red caps and white spots, they’re surely one of the most recognisable — and magical-looking — mushrooms in the forest. ❤️🤍

🦌 But what do mushrooms have to do with flying reindeer?

Legend and folklore have long connected Fly Agaric with reindeer and magical winter journeys. Stories from northern forests tell of reindeer eating these distinctive mushrooms, helping create their enduring association with Christmas, magic and flying reindeer.
And with reindeer right here in the Lochanhully area, it seems particularly fitting that these little pieces of woodland folklore are appearing on our doorstep! 🦌✨

So, if you're visiting us this season, keep your eyes open on your woodland walks — you never know what you might spot…

Just look at this playground view… 😍

Swinging with the lochan stretching out in front of you and the Cairngorms all around… Lochanhully really does have one of the most beautiful play park backdrops in the country.

Kids (and the odd staff member 😉) can burn off energy while the whole family soaks up that peaceful Highland scenery. Pure magic.
