There is a brief, breathtaking window in the Highlands where you can experience two seasons at once. After a winter spent quietly perfecting our rooms and restoring the lodge, we are almost ready to open our doors for the summer season.

👻 It’s been a while… but what better day to make a comeback than Halloween 🎃

We’ve been caught up in one of our busiest seasons yet here at Dalrachney, and between welcoming guests and spending time with family, social media took a little backseat. But as the leaves turn and the air gets crisp, it feels like the perfect time to share a glimpse of the lodge again.

The driveway is lined with gold and amber leaves, the air still, and the house standing quietly behind them — there’s something beautifully eerie about this time of year in the Highlands. 👀🍂

Happy Halloween from all of us at Dalrachney Lodge — where the only spirits you’ll find are in the bar… or so we hope. 🥃👻✨

✨ Hidden treasures at Dalrachney ✨

While rummaging through an old chest of drawers in the shed, we uncovered this gorgeous collection of antique silver-plated pieces — from ornate teapots and candelabras to delicate sugar bowls and vases.

Each piece is a little tarnished by time but full of charm and stories from a bygone era. The big question is… do we polish them to a shine or keep their beautiful patina? 🕰️🍵🕯️

Still light at 10pm? Welcome to summer in the Highlands. ☀️🌿

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks here at Dalrachney — full of wonderful guests, busy days, and those peaceful, golden nights that stretch long into the evening. This snap was taken at 10pm, through one of our original sash windows… and the sun was still lingering. That’s the magic of a northern Scottish summer. 🌅

We might’ve been quiet on here, but the lodge has been buzzing — and we’ve got plenty more to share soon.

Sunshine, blue skies, and a very Scottish 13°C—feels like summer has arrived early at Dalrachney! We’re in full prep mode, putting the finishing touches in place before our first guests of the season arrive. It’s been a busy winter of renovations, but now it’s time to welcome new faces, familiar friends, and plenty of Highland adventures. Who else is ready for a getaway in the Cairngorms? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⛰️🌳

A bright but frosty morning in the Highlands, with crisp air and those Cairngorm views that never get old! ❄️☀️ Sometimes, in the middle of all the renovations and planning, we have to stop and remind ourselves how lucky we are to call this place home.

A true winter wonderland ❄️. The Cairngorms were blanketed in snow last week, and we couldn’t resist capturing these stunning views just behind the golf course, only a few minutes’ walk from the lodge. With nights as cold as -11°C, the Highlands truly embraced the chill! The snow has now melted, and things are settling back to normal, but these frosty moments were pure magic.
