A quiet corner in the master suite.

There’s plenty of space in here beyond the bed, including this sofa overlooking the back garden. A good spot for a morning coffee, an afternoon with a book or putting your feet up in front of the TV after a day out in the Cairngorms.

This is one of our favourite spaces at Strathspey Lodge.

The kitchen, dining and sitting areas are all open plan, so whether you’re cooking, pouring a drink, playing games or just flopping on the sofa after a day out, everyone can still be together.

There’s plenty of room for families and groups, and with the big windows and high ceilings it’s a lovely bright space during the day. Then, as evening comes around, light the fire and settle in for the night.

Autumn in the is hard to beat.

By September and October the landscape around .lodge starts to change, with the greens giving way to some spectacular autumn colour. It’s a brilliant time to be up here, cooler days for walking and exploring, quieter trails and plenty to come home to afterwards.

And on a day like this, the view from the lodge isn’t bad either.

The nights will soon start drawing in again, but thankfully the stars provide a bit of constellation consolation.

On a clear night in the Cairngorms, the skies can be quite something. With very little light pollution around the lodge, it’s well worth stepping outside after dinner, looking up and seeing what’s overhead.

And then back inside to the fire.

One of our favourite places to spend time in the lodge.

The large windows bring in light from every direction, while the views across the fields towards the northern Cairngorms are always there in the background.

It's a room that adapts to the day. Morning coffee, an afternoon with a book, drinks before dinner, or simply sitting back and watching the weather change outside.

Our top-floor super king ensuite sits in the corner of the lodge, with windows on two sides bringing in plenty of natural light and views across the surrounding countryside.

It's the sort of room that tempts you to linger a little longer in the morning. A cup of tea, a look out of the window, and a few minutes deciding whether the day calls for a walk in the hills or simply taking things a little more slowly.

Autumn is one of our favourite times of year in the

The colours are extraordinary, the walking trails are quieter and the views seem to stretch for miles on clear autumn days. It's a wonderful time to explore the National Park before returning to the warmth and comfort of the lodge.

There's something satisfying about cooking here.

The kitchen looks out towards the fields and the northern , so even preparing dinner comes with a view. With the dining table, living area and balcony all connected, nobody disappears into another room – the conversation simply carries on while the meal comes together.
