Ford House Cartmel 5-star luxury self-catering accommodation to sleep 10. An historic 18th century Grade II listed house in the centre of Cartmel village, Cumbria.

On the edge of the Lake District National Park, just a short stroll from the famous Cartmel Racecourse. Welcome to Ford House, a luxury Grade II listed self-catering home that sleeps 10 in Cartmel, Cumbria. Ford House has been refurbished to a superior 5-star standard. The accommodation has been thoughtfully designed, offering luxury and comfort along with many original features – character beams, log fires and a farmhouse flag floor – plus the added benefit of an under floor heating system. There are five good sized bedrooms and three well appointed bathrooms, one of which is ensuite. This double fronted period property with walled garden is located in the heart of the village square of the quaint and historic South Lakeland village of Cartmel, famous for its sticky toffee pudding and the Cartmel Races. Cartmel offers a Michelin star restaurant, great pubs, high-class shops and well-stocked delis, with plenty to do and see in the area.

Cartmel is getting ready to become the county's Village du Tour for the 2027 Men's Tour de France on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd July.

Join us at the racecourse for a free, ticketed celebration where you can watch the action on giant screens. We'll have a vast range of continental street food, French wines and beers, and family cycling activities. 🥐🍷

That's not all – on Saturday evening, we're hosting a separately ticketed event, a fantastic night of live entertainment! 🎶
