We had a very rare night off last weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary in one of our favourite places - The Powfoot Hotel
We got married there five years ago and decided to treat ourselves to a night away. The food at Powfoot is always exquisite and the overall experience is made even more special by the attentive staff led by Lisa alongside her head chef husband Martin. The whole team make you feel so welcome from the moment you walk through the door and are always looking for ways to make your experience unforgettable.
Powfoot will always get five stars from us.

It’s a proper dreich day out there today, so why brave the weather when you can be warm and cozy with us? 🌧️☕ Come shake off the rain in the lovely village of Dundrennan and treat yourself to a cracking breakfast or a comforting lunch. The coffee machine is on, the kettle's brewing, and we've got plenty of delicious home-cooked treats waiting for you. We’re open from 10:00 for breakfast and lunch is served from about 11.30...pop in and make yourself at home!

We finally got round to trying Crown and Anchor Dundrennan's pizza at the weekend and we can confirm it is absolutely delicious! I always take photos of my food but I was too distracted by eating it! Will just have to go again!
Thin, crispy bases with scrumptious toppings. Perfect pizza.
And now they're doing a burger night!
Would highly recommend these guys to all our guests.

We've had a busy couple of weeks on the farm AI-ing the cows, silaging, shearing and showing two lovely groups of people staying nearby around our farm. Time for a bit of downtime now and to enjoy the sunshine!

Happy birthday to us! One year ago today we opened the doors to our very first guests. What a year it has been! We are so grateful to every single one of our guests and can't wait to see what the next year brings. . We're celebrating by shearing the rams! Work never stops! 🥳
