Set amongst 14 acres of woods and the grounds the hotel is a perfect base for exploring South west Scotland . We are located on the out skirts of Castle Douglas food town just off the A75 . The hotel offers 14 high quality bedrooms and is a family run business . We have a restaurant and bar onsite and serve breakfast , lunch , dinner . Open to non residents we are family friendly and dog friendly.

The food menus in the hotel offer great value and is cooked from scratch. We have plenty of outside dining space and offer heated pods for a meal experience . The hotel also features a large function space which is ideal for weddings and events .

💍 Two Weekends. Two Weddings. Two Very Happy Couples! 🥂❤️

What a couple of weekends it’s been at Ernespie! 🥰

Over the last two weekends, we’ve had the absolute privilege of hosting two beautiful weddings — and what a hoot we had! 🎉💃🕺

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to both couples, and a heartfelt thank you for choosing Ernespie to be part of such an important chapter in your lives. ❤️

💍 15th August — Eva & John 💍

Eva and John tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in the hotel grounds. 🌿💒

Thankfully, the weather gods were smiling down on us ☀️🙏, and the grounds looked absolutely beautiful as they said “I do.”

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, love and plenty of celebrations — and we were delighted to hear such lovely feedback from the happy couple. 🥰

The evening party was certainly one to remember! 🎶🥂💃

💍 22nd August — Vikki & Logan 💍

A week later, it was the turn of Vikki and Logan! ❤️

Once again, the weather was on our side ☀️, giving them the perfect setting for their outdoor ceremony in the hotel grounds. 🌿💒

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a lovely meal before the celebrations really got going… and they certainly went on late into the night! 🥂🎉🎶

To Eva & John and Vikki & Logan — thank you for allowing the Ernespie team to play even a small part in one of the most important days of your lives. ❤️

We’ve loved having you both celebrate with us and wish you a lifetime of happiness, laughter and wonderful memories together. 🥂💍

🚗✨ A wonderful weekend here at Ernespie House Hotel as we welcomed a fantastic group of Triumph Stag enthusiasts staying with us during their tour of the beautiful South West of Scotland! 🇬🇧🏁

It has been an absolute pleasure hosting the club and seeing these timeless classic cars arrive at the hotel. From relaxed evenings in our cosy rooms to hearty meals enjoyed in the restaurant, we’re delighted that the group chose to make Ernespie their home away from home for the weekend. 🍽️🛏️

There’s something truly special about combining scenic drives, great company, delicious food, and comfortable hospitality — and we are proud to provide exactly that experience for touring groups and motoring clubs visiting the area. 🌄🚘
