A labour of love

*photo taken from Chy An Mor’s front steps* We’re a husband and wife team passionate about holidays and houses. One of us grew up in Cawsand and the other grew up visiting Cawsand from nearby Plymouth so we’re both very very familiar with the area. We live in the village ourselves and have endless recommendations of things to do both in the area and across Cornwall. We bought Chy An Mor (house by the sea in Cornish, the house’s original name) after falling in love with its old charm and quirkiness, it was built in the 1700’s so is very old indeed. We embarked on a mission to restore it to its former glory and ensure it took advantage of its truly amazing position right behind the Kingsand clock tower, overlooking the sea out to Fort Picklecombe and Plymouth breakwater. It has definitely been a labour of love, those old charms don’t make for an easy renovation that’s for sure, however, we’re very excited to be completing the finishing touches and getting ready to welcome 2020’s guests. Each of the 3 spaces have been designed just for 2 to escape the every day and breathe in the sea air, spend time recharging and relaxing together. Plus, we know how important it is when we go away to have our dog, Albert, with us so we welcome your canine companion free of charge.
