Cardigan
We were talking on the way back from here yesterday about our closest ‘proper town’ and the access to it.
It’s a great town, on the river, a castle, excellent indi retail, food and drink options, arty shops, links to the beaches 5 mins further on etc. But …
To get to it from our lodge - the drive is tree lined, follows the River Teifi, very picturesque, no pavements, no roundabouts, no traffic lights, no buses, 1 school crossing and limited traffic.
Sue’s Dad used to frequently say ‘oh, I love this road’
It continues the rural vibe right into town.
Of course from Cardigan onwards the main roads then link to Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Newquay, Tenby etc in the usual fashion - but it’s still very picturesque - either over the Preselis or hugs the coastline.
To go to Cardi from us is a really enjoyable drive and doesn’t feel like urban sprawl !
Enjoy
