⭐ Customer Review ⭐

"I stayed at Lyons Gate Holiday Park for three nights in one of the caravans. I met Phil and Mandy on arrival who welcomed me and showed me to my accommodation. It was absolutely perfect, everything I needed was there for a relaxing three nights. The caravan was perfectly equipped, comfortable bed.
There is no wi-fi on site, but had a Vodafone dongle which worked perfectly well on my laptop and had a decent 4G Vodafone signal.
I went there predominantly to fish as I am a fairly accomplished angler who generally fishes commercials. I only chose to fish Kingfisher lake from the four lakes I looked at on site.
Starting on peg 8, I caught quality bream to 4lb, most averaged 2-3lb, plus a bonus 8lb carp. Pole was the preferred method in around 44” inches of water. In all I had 48 bream and the one carp.
Second day peg 6, caught on method feeder and pole, slightly deeper swim and finished with 53 bream most over 2lb, but at least 20 around the 3 to 4lb mark.
Third day peg 3, very windy, fished pole short at 7mtrs and on top kit only, and finished with 57 bream, this time the average fish was 3lb, but some larger fish to 5lb.
The fishing equalled if not better than any commercial fishery. It was kept immaculate and Phil and his team, who were so helpful, not just to me but to others also.
Thanks also to Ray for his advice and company, and also to Mandy for running all the admin on site. The locals were really friendly, the site is in an absolutely beautiful setting.
Having fished a lot of competitions on big commercials, I have to say that my visit was the best three consistent days of fishing I have ever experienced. If you are a keen angler then please consider visiting the site to fish even if you are not staying there. It is also a day ticket water £6.
Thanks again to the Lyons Gate team, I had a great time and will definitely be back again soon."
