Mill End is a luxury country hotel, just outside the delightful Dartmoor village of Chagford. We are the perfect base for exploring Dartmoor, with great walks from the hotel, and within easy reach of everything that Dartmoor National Park has to offer. Morning coffee, delicious light lunches (in the garden when the sun shines), traditional Devon Cream Teas, and fine dining in our restaurant in the evening.

Dartmoor filming locations of Georgia Oakley's take on Jane Austen's iconic masterpiece: Sense and Sensibility

A historic, left-to-the-wild Grade II listed house on Dartmoor, Ditsworthy Warren Farm was selected to become Barton cottage.. it needed a little 'movie makeover', due to its wild state. The team added period-appropriate windows and a door, fixed up the roof, removed debris, and added some planting - a temporary renovation that took the team just over a week.

Ditsworthy Warren Farm is also known for featuring in the 2011 adaptation of War Horse! Have you visited before?

There's one in particular we absolutely love... Yes he can look strong and scary sometimes, but we think he's really just a fluffy softy!.. We aren't talking about the Buzzard!

Not to mention sunrise deer spotting walks with the rangers at our neighbour Castle Drogo-National Trust!

Cosy season is beginning, and we are so excited to wander around some of our favourite local crafty markets, savour some of Devon's finest produce, and relax in our peaceful lounge by the fire... with a book.. and w**e!
