A luxury cottage at Chapel St Leonards on the Lincolnshire coast with private access onto a dog-friendly beach.

The bungalow sleeps up to 7 people and we accept up to 3 dogs (no extra charge).

The end of the living room has what I consider essential in a holiday home - a jigsaw table!

We obviously have *lots* of puzzles for guests to try and what can be more relaxing than slotting in a piece or two after a bracing beach walk (with drink in hand of course)?

My great grandfather and great uncle bought the land on which Miles sits just before the First World War so my family have been holidaying here for over a century.

I try to reflect this in the decoration. Not only with vintage and antique pieces of furniture (some that have been here from when Miles was first built) but also pictures and postcards on the wall from Chapel St Leonards past.

What do you consider essential in a holiday home kitchen?

I think we add a little something every year at Miles - based on visitors feedback. Latest addition? An airfryer.

As we holiday ourselves here regularly I feel we have everything covered but I’m betting someone will come up with a missing item. Consider the gauntlet thrown down!

Is there anything better than being able to get straight onto the beach from your holiday cottage?

The back garden at Miles is basically the sand dunes so you just walk up the stepped path, through the gate and there it is - a gorgeous stretch of dog-friendly sandy beach!

Am I sorry summer is over? Yes
But… chillier days means it’s time for the log burner. And who doesn’t love that?

We also have a wood shed at Miles which guests are welcome to use so no need to bring or buy your own logs.

This is Chapel Point in December. Which is the lovely thing about beaches - they look marvellous year round!

Plus - even quieter in the winter months (if that’s your thing!)
