🌼 From lawn to little wildlife haven...
When we arrived here in September 2023, this was just a regularly mown patch of grass.
I'd always wanted to create a wildflower garden, but honestly had no idea where to begin! So in September 2024 we bought wildflower seeds from Goren Farm , Stockland, scattered them... and hoped for the best.
The winding path through the meadow has a special story too. It was inspired by a sketch drawn by one of our guests, who just happens to design wildflower gardens. We loved the idea and decided to bring it to life.
Fast forward to this summer, and it's wonderful to see the flowers appearing. Along with them have come bees, butterflies, hoverflies and all sorts of other little visitors. 🐝🦋
It's still very much a work in progress, but that's part of the fun. We're excited to see how it changes and grows over the coming years.
