⚓ A familiar face returns to Charlestown tomorrow...

The beautiful French tall ship Phoenix is due to arrive on Saturday morning's high tide at around 9am, making a welcome return to a harbour she once called home.

Many will remember Phoenix from her years based in Charlestown, where she became a familiar sight alongside the historic fleet. She also appeared on screen in Poldark, helping bring Cornwall's maritime past to life for millions of viewers.

This weekend you'll have the chance to step aboard and explore her for yourself.

Whether you're revisiting an old favourite or seeing her for the first time, it's always an impressive sight when a tall ship drops into Charlestown.

Why not make a day of it? Enjoy food and drink around the harbour, catch live music at .charlestown on Saturday evening, or settle in for Harbour Sounds with THE GLEAVES at Smugglers on the harbour on Sunday afternoon.

We'll be on the quayside to welcome Phoenix home tomorrow morning and will share arrival updates throughout the day.

We had a great morning out in Porthleven and tasty lunch in the sunshine overlooking the harbour ( thanks to The Mussel Shoal). 🍽️ 🌊 🛥️ 🌞

We had such a lot of fun trying to escape from Misty Moor Cottage on Bodmin Moor at Bolted Escape Rooms, St Austell and we only had to make the short trip to Par to do it! It’s an ingenious puzzle which we all enjoyed and the lovely young woman in charge of it was wonderful welcoming and positive about our efforts 🙏🏼 Highly recommended 😁.

Celebrating the beginning of Spring with a walk down to Duporth beach , along the SW coast path to Charlestown and back home to the Lodge garden. 🪴 🌺 🌞

We had a fascinating river garden tea tour walk yesterday at Tregothnan tea plantation, in the beautiful setting of Coombe. It was a great mix of information, views, chat, tea tasting and even the surprise of a huge but retiring naval ship resting in the deep waters of the river.
