Vera's is tucked away down Richardsons lane, Chelmondiston to just off the B1456, on the Shotley Peninsular. You will be in walking distance from the shops and bus stop and lovely play

ing field. The nearest town being Ipswich. We are on South Suffolk cycle route B and the village centre is just a short walk and has 2 shops, with a Post office situated in one of them. Hollingsworths is a general store and butchers with the Red Lion and hair salon just across the road. There is in addition
good Chinese takeaway (cash only) in the village. There are many walks from Vera's through the picturesque Suffolk countryside. Beautiful Pin Mill has its own famous pub The Butt and Oyster, and is a must visit serving great food and real Ales. Children of all ages have always enjoyed playing poo sticks in the grindle (stream). Arthur Ransome of Swallows and Amazons fame also had a holiday cottage here. There are many more lovely walks towards Shotley or Woolverstone. There is a bus stop outside the Red Lion that goes into Ipswich. Suffolk food hall is on the bus route towards Ipswich just before the Orwell Bridge. You may like to get the foot ferry from Shotley Marina to Harwich or Felixstowe. Alton Water is a few miles away and can be walked or cycled round. There is a cafe and waters sports.

I am sad and furious in equal measure. We have been running our Aire for nearly 4 years now and have never had a problem like this.
Someone has seen fit to empty their chemical toilet over a fence on our Aire! How do I know? Well apart from the smell, they forgot the lid.

We also have Monimar, on our doorstep. It is a nice bar and restaurant with fabulous views up towards the Orwell Bridge. Well behaved dogs are allowed. It will take maybe 30 mins to walk from Vera's but what a fabulous walk it is! Or you could cycle in 15 mins easily.

It was so nice to welcome returning visitors yesterday. It was also a real lift to hear them say that they would never have visited the Shotley Peninsula if it hadn't been for our little CAMpRA Aire. 3 times they have stayed now to explore this beautiful area.
We have availability, so come see for yourself.
