We already knew we were lucky to be in such a special part of the world, but after a fantastic day at the Crouch Valley Trade English Wine Tasting () we’re even more convinced that the Crouch Valley is something truly exceptional.
Particularly fascinating was the talk by , who explored the unique terroir of the Crouch Valley. His verdict? If you’re making still wine, this is one of the very best places to do it. It also turns out that the clay mud we’ve been carrying around on the bottom of our wellies for years might be annoying for us, but it’s great for vines!
It was great to catch up with some familiar faces from Hollands Crouch Valley Wine and Martin's Lane Vineyard 🇬🇧, but also we loved discovering a fantastic wide-ranging selection of wines produced right here on our doorstep, in this sunny corner of the country.
Ever since taking over the Prince of Wales, we’ve been determined to celebrate our position at the heart of the Crouch Valley. After today, we’re feeling more inspired than ever. Exciting times.
Expect many more Crouch Valley wine tasting evenings at the Prince of Wales. In the meantime pop in for a glass of Hollands Crouch Valley Wine
