Today's BNI Meeting had several interesting conversations.
We had the Core Value delivered by Pete Hanson on Positive Attitude, highlighting the importance of mindset in building strong relationships and business success.
A valuable Education Slot from Rob Cockle, sharing the message: “Educate me so I can refer you,” where he talked about how to be specific in 30 seconds and why.
We also had a New Member Launch Pad Presentation from Chris Wiggin of Agility Outsourcing, giving the chapter a better understanding of his business. His business provides virtual assistant and back-office support for UK SMEs, without the cost of hiring in-house.
Our Feature Presentation was from Andy Davies of Digitally Driven Consultancy. He is a Gloucestershire-based Marketing Consultant with 30 years’ experience in retail and over 15 years in ecommerce. He helps businesses develop practical, commercial marketing strategies that improve brand growth, audience reach, customer engagement and conversion.
In his presentation today, he spoke about Marketing for Growth and shared his Formula One Marketing Concept, breaking business growth down into clear parts: tyres as the foundation and processes, downforce as trust, drag as the things costing your business money, and thrust as marketing.
A great reminder that growth is not just about doing more marketing. It is about having the right foundations, building trust, reducing what holds you back, and creating enough momentum to move forward. His ideal referrals are business owners who feel busy but not growing, or who feel their marketing is not working and their business has hit a ceiling.
He is especially looking to speak with businesses with a turnover of £500k+ that want to grow but are unsure what is holding them back.
Finally, congratulations to Connah from Modern Access on completing her Passport to Success, an important part of the new member journey that helps members build relationships by meeting specific people within the chapter.
