This is the evolution of the "Möbius" dropout developed by Speeder Design for BMX brand URP. It's so named as it offers infinite configurations and allows the use of a drive belt (continuous and unbroken) without having to resort to structurally suspect stay breaks of any kind.

In line with the best engineering practice, every component does at least 2 jobs (thanks Colin Chapman). Load paths in the smaller tubes are as straight as possible so as not to induce bending & the critical threads are contained in replaceable barrel nuts so you can be confident of being able to torque up the fixings without worry.

We've tried to adopt as many of the better "standards" from the the wider industry as possible, utilising many years of combined experience and distilling it into this design while still keeping it as BMX as possible.

The pics show the initial back of an envelope sketch (I don't smoke so there’s no fag packets around),through the initial space model to the finished prototype.

Following 2 years of rigorous field testing, including an appearance at the 2018 World Championships, there are a few detail changes before production but being as these amount to little more than thickening the brake mounts and radiusing a few sharp corners, I think it's proven itself a success.
