Available to let since May 2015 the Wagon House is a contemporary barn conversion. Formerly a 'Wagon House' used for the storage of horse drawn carts and agricultural equipment. Of traditional Welsh stone under slate roof the building has been converted to the very highest standards. The main living area has seating for 6 adults and a large dining table. Fully fitted kitchen with high quality cooker and white goods. Also on the ground floor is a large double bedroom and luxury en-suite bathroom. Large bath and overhead shower. On the mezzanine first floor is a double bedroom, with a king or two single beds. The sofa in the sitting room folds out to offer a double bed. There is a digital TV, WIFI,DVD, full white goods including dishwasher, washing and drying machines. Outside the cottage is parking for up to four cars, bench and sitting area, lawn and garden for children. There is also secure bike storage and outside pipe for cleaning of equipment. The patio to the rear of the cottage is great for chilling out with a BBQ and outdoor seating. The cottage is situated only two miles from Tinntern and the historic Cistercian Abbey. The market town of Monmouth ( Waitrose, Independent shops, coffee houses and restaurants ) and Chepstow, ( Tesco, independent shops, Castle ) both 20 minutes by car. There are a number of pubs within 7 minutes drive. The Fountain Inn only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Activities in the area are very comprehensive:
Walking - locally or further afield ( Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, Forest of Dean under 1 hr)
Cycling - endless road loops, including, Wye Valley and Black Mountains. Mountain Biking from the door or Forest of Dean (40 mins), Cwm Carn - ( 45 mins) , Bike Park Wales ( 1 hr), Black Mountains down hill ( 45 mins). Fishing - River Usk and Wye ( via booking), coarse fishing, several venues within 5 minute car journey. Driving - great place to stay with your classic car our sister company www.carlocker.co.uk is on site and can store you car in the dry overnight. Excellent day trips through the Beacons, Mid Wales, West Wales Coast, Snowdonia etc. Track days at Castle Combe ( 1hr ) , Llandow (1hr 30 mins) etc. Clay Pigeon Shooting ( by appointment), 10 mins away on professional shooting school. For the less energetic there is plenty to absorb, culture, history, food and art.
