𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲:
To all of the My Haunted Hotel family,
I apologise for the long-winded message, but there’s a lot that needs to be said.
The past four years have been an epic journey, filled with incredible highs and, inevitably, some very deep lows. During that time, I lost my best friend and confidant—my dad. I also welcomed my beautiful baby boy, Ezra, who completely lit up my life. I bought a new house that needed endless renovation, ran a pub (no small task), and tried my best to keep my family together.Thank you to my Jadey she’s had to put up with a lot, your my rock and I’m the luckiest man alive.
Somewhere along the way, I lost myself.
I went to some very dark places, dealt with negativity I didn’t want or need, and became a “yes man.” Outside noise convinced me that growth meant more venues—America, Pendle, Bodmin—even though, deep down, I knew it wasn’t the right direction. But I pushed on anyway.
And what did that cost?
Most importantly, it took the focus away from the most important part of this project: you—the My Haunted Hotel family. An ego developed that was bigger than we actually were. The hotel experience suffered. It became about us instead of about you.
So many people loved the old format, where we shared your experiences, and we drifted away from that. The guest experience stopped being the priority. My core team was spread too thin across multiple locations, placing unnecessary strain on them and their personal lives.
At the end of the day, this is on me. I didn’t have the mental capacity at the time to make the right decisions, and I let the heart of the business slip away. That regret has eaten away at me for years, because all I ever wanted was to create a community—a place to escape the stresses of the world, meet new people, and feel a sense of meaning and belonging.
This project was never about us. It was always about you. And it wouldn’t exist without you.
So last week, I finally found the courage to take this project back to its roots. I followed my heart and made one of the biggest decisions of my life—doing what I truly believe is best for everyone involved.
As you’ve already heard, this means Danny is no longer part of the project. There has been no fallout. Our beliefs simply differ on where the project should go. Danny has been instrumental—especially with the film work—and his charisma and work ethic are undeniable. He deserves to follow his own dreams, and I thank him sincerely for everything he contributed. I wish him nothing but success. This decision was mine, and I believe it’s the right one for both of us.
Caravan has stood by me during some of my darkest moments and has had my back throughout like I’m trying to be there for him during the tough times he’s had to face over Christmas.
He is 150% committed and genuinely excited about rebuilding this project and the family we’re creating together
I also want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Dan, Eimear, Farah, Rhiannon,Mave and Shortty. They have always been there for me—helping, supporting, and never letting me down. Their commitment, loyalty, and love mean more to me than I can put into words. I truly love them to bits.
Also Claire Boxall for all her support and hard work she’s done with the creation of the fan group. It means so much.
So yes—there will be big changes.

We’re going back to basics. One channel. One umbrella. One community.
Weekly content will return, including YouTube uploads, and once again you will be the stars of the show.
I regret how Patreon was previously handled. It pulled attention away from what mattered most. Going forward, Patreon will offer real value—exclusive meetups, early access to exclusive shows, and meaningful benefits for those who support us. More updates about Patreon will follow soon.
Anyone signed up for My Haunted Road Trip will receive one month free on our new Patreon subscription as a thank-you for your support. Additionally, anyone who already has a Patreon subscription will also receive one month free—our way of showing just how much we appreciate you.
Our road trips will continue—still visiting epic locations across the UK—but Patreon supporters will get first access to join us. And once again, the content will be centred around your experiences.
If you have any future bookings or concerns, please email [email protected].

My Haunted Academy now has more dates than ever, and we couldn’t be prouder of what Mave has created with this project. The kids absolutely love it.
This year, we’re aiming to really progress the Academy—adding more dates to the website and even creating opportunities for our young ghost hunters to stay overnight during school holidays, giving them the best possible experience. The smiles on their faces make it all completely worth it.

The Grace Doll will be leaving the building and going to her new home where ever that maybe. She’s been quiet for some time and I feel that space can now be put to better use.

• Pendle was let go last December due to ongoing issues with water pumps, heating and access difficulties, and our inability to give you the experience you deserved.
• Bodmin was simply too far away to manage properly. While the team there was incredible, I was only earning 20%, which ended up costing me more in promotions on a property I didn’t have full control over.
• My Haunted Manor remains a passion project. I love Rowdy to bits and truly want to make this work for everyone involved, so we are continuing with this project.
Just reiterate Caravan the team and I have no part in My Haunted Road Trip we are solely working on My Haunted Hotel.
Ultimately, trying to juggle too many projects placed an enormous burden on my team. My decision now is to lift that weight, refocus, and rebuild something meaningful again—together.
Thank you for sticking with us.Thank you for believing. And thank you for being the heart of My Haunted Hotel.
This year is going to be an incredible year.
