Take a walk along the Roman Walls, see our Victorian buildings, enjoy walks along the river and parks, and perhaps even take a boat ride or canoe out!

There is so much for you to do here, from plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars and even one of the largest zoos in the UK- voted best zoo in the UK in 2024 (and third best in the world according to Trip Advisor!).

Right in the heart of Chester- our gorgeous Roman city, only 1 hour from Manchester or 1.5hrs from Sheffield, Leeds and Birmingham.

Enjoy wildlife at Chester Zoo, or shop till you drop at Cheshire Oaks and in our beautiful city centre.
There’s plenty of nature to see too just a short drive into North Wales, or if you’re coming from afar then you should also enjoy the Peak District, only slightly further afield.
