The Boathouse Chester The Boathouse is the perfect place to sit back and relax with great food and drinks on the River Dee Brunch is served daily 1030am-12pm.

We serve a delicious menu of home-cooked, traditional pub food Monday - Saturday til 9pm and our Sunday lunch menu til 8pm. We also have a huge selections of wines; bottled and draught beers; JW Lees cask ales; ciders; popular spirits and your favourite soft drinks. There's something to suit everyone's tastes, so why not have a relaxing drink by the river? Or dine al fresco on our outdoor terrace and floating beer garden, and make the most of the good weather!

Sunsets just hit different by the River Dee 🌅

We might be biased, but we reckon we’ve got one of the best spots in Chester to watch the sun go down. Whether you’re joining us for a bite to eat, a drink by the river or just taking five to enjoy the view, it’s not a bad way to spend an evening. 🍻

🐾 Dogs of the Week 🐾

Double the dogs, double the trouble! Meet Princess Yoshi, a 5 month old Japanese Chin, and her sibling Bailey, a 1-year-old Border Collie cross Papillon, who came in to steal the show at The Boathouse.

These two are big fans of sleeping, eating, playing and, of course, judging everyone around them. Dry food and cats, though? Absolutely not.🐱

Princess Yoshi has travelled all the way from Japan and apparently thinks she’s more cat than dog! Meanwhile, Bailey has one blue eye and one brown eye, making him a proper little head turner. 👀🐶

⭐Meet the Team ⭐

You might remember Ella from our previous Meet the Team post, but we thought it was time to give her another little shout out! 👋

When she’s not busy welcoming you through our doors with a smile, Ella’s studying hard in sixth form. 📚 Between Biology, Art, Food & Nutrition and Core Maths, we’re not sure where she finds the time for everything!

If you spot her grabbing a bite to eat on her break, you’ll probably find her tucking into her favourite, the Tower Burger, with a large Coke to wash it down. 🍔🥤

And if you didn’t know already, Ella’s got some serious skills outside the pub too, having achieved her second black belt in karate and performed in the English Youth Ballet’s production of Swan Lake. 🥋🩰 Talk about talent!

We’re lucky to have Ella as part of the Boathouse team. Give her a wave next time you pop in! 👋
